Airtel and Reliance Jio have both partnered with Elon Musk's SpaceX to introduce Starlink satellite internet services in India. The agreements, announced by Airtel on Tuesday and Jio on Wednesday, depend on SpaceX securing regulatory approval from the Indian government. If granted, both telecom giants will offer Starlink services and equipment through their stores and online platforms, aiming to provide high-speed internet access in remote areas.

The collaboration marks a major step in expanding broadband connectivity across India, particularly in underserved regions. With this move, Jio and Airtel are intensifying competition in the satellite internet sector. While Airtel already has a partnership with Eutelsat OneWeb, integrating Starlink will further strengthen its coverage. Jio, handling the highest mobile data traffic in India, is expected to leverage Starlink to enhance broadband reliability. The rollout timeline remains uncertain, pending government approvals, but the partnerships signify a major shift in India's internet landscape.
