HIIT and steady-state cardio are two popular training styles, each with unique benefits. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) involves short bursts of intense effort followed by brief recovery periods. It is highly time-efficient, boosts metabolism, and can improve cardiovascular fitness quickly. HIIT is especially effective for fat loss and suits people with busy schedules.

However, it can be physically demanding and may not be ideal for beginners or those with joint issues if performed incorrectly. Steady-state cardio, such as jogging, cycling, or brisk walking, is performed at a consistent, moderate intensity for a longer duration. It is easier to sustain, gentler on the body, and great for building endurance and supporting heart health. While it may burn calories more slowly, it is easier to recover from and maintain long term. The better option depends on your goals, fitness level, and lifestyle. Ideally, combining both delivers balanced, sustainable results.
