Improving your sleep hygiene is key to achieving better rest and overall health. Start by maintaining a consistent sleep schedule—go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. Create a relaxing bedtime routine that signals your body it's time to wind down, such as reading, taking a warm shower, or practicing deep breathing exercises.

Keep your sleep environment cool, dark, and quiet; consider using blackout curtains, earplugs, or white noise machines if needed. Limit exposure to screens at least an hour before bedtime, as blue light can interfere with melatonin production. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and heavy meals in the evening, as they can disrupt your sleep cycle. Regular physical activity during the day can also promote better sleep, but avoid vigorous workouts close to bedtime. By making these adjustments, you can train your body and mind for more restful, restorative sleep each night.
