Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel will not halt its war in Gaza, despite talks on a potential ceasefire. This comes after airstrikes on two Gaza hospitals, killing at least eight people. Netanyahu emphasized that any ceasefire would only be temporary, with Israel determined to "destroy Hamas" and complete its mission in Gaza.

Hamas, in turn, has demanded the release of Palestinian prisoners and an Israeli withdrawal for the hostages' release. A deal brokered by the Trump administration led to the release of Edan Alexander, the last living American hostage, who described horrific conditions in captivity.
Despite diplomatic efforts to negotiate hostages' release, Netanyahu faces criticism for not prioritizing their return and continuing the war. Additionally, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, with thousands suffering from malnutrition due to Israel's blockade.
Israel's plans for Gaza include "voluntary emigration," but this has sparked anger from Palestinians and neighboring Arab nations.
