Donald Trump’s newly announced ‘Gold Card’ program, offering permanent US residency for $5 million per card, is reportedly seeing immense demand. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick revealed on the All-In Podcast that 1,000 cards were sold on the first day, generating a staggering $5 billion in revenue.

The program aims to attract wealthy individuals seeking secure US residency without the burden of global taxation. Unlike US citizens, who are taxed on worldwide income, Gold Card holders will only be taxed on income earned within the United States.
Lutnick confirmed that the official launch is set for two weeks, with tech billionaire Elon Musk currently developing the software for its implementation. With such overwhelming initial success, the program is expected to further fuel discussions on immigration, wealth-based residency, and economic impact.
