Fast-fashion giant Zara has unveiled a new-style Asia flagship store in Nanjing, China, as part of its strategy to optimize its global retail footprint. The 2,500 sq. m store, spanning two floors in Xinjiekou’s central business district, introduces digital integration and experiential features aimed at enhancing in-store engagement.

The store includes a private shopping salon with a lounge and personal fitting rooms, a "fit check" studio for video content creation, and China’s first Zacaffe coffee shop outside of Spain. These features, bookable via WeChat, are being tested in China before a potential global rollout.
With China’s retail landscape evolving and local brands gaining traction, Zara is adapting its approach, leveraging digital tools like livestream shopping on Douyin. Parent company Inditex continues to streamline its store network, focusing on flagship locations and boosting online sales worldwide.
